SURVEY REQUEST!
We need your input to decide whether to have the 50th (+1) Reunion on August 7, 2021 as planned, or if we should consider planning on a 50th (+2) in 2022 instead.
Vaccines are becoming more widely available and most states are beginning to lift or consider lifting gathering restrictions. We anticipate reunion attendance to be approximately 50% of normal capacity of the facility, which is in line with Maryland’s current restrictions as of now but subject to change.
The committee is encouraged by the current trends of Covid case numbers and the promise of vaccines helping to make gathering safer, but we understand everyone has different tolerance for risk and unique health concerns, and it is difficult to determine what the pandemic situation and public guidelines might be in 3 & 3/4 months.
Per Gov. Hogan, all Marylanders 16 and older are currently eligible to get vaccinated at mass vaccination sites. As of Monday, April 12, all Marylanders 16 and older are eligible to schedule appointments and get vaccinated through all providers.
According to the CDC, 44.1% of Maryland’s population age 18 and older has received a vaccine, including 77.5% of Marylanders 65 and older.
Per Pres. Biden, vaccinations will be available to ALL residents of the USA age 16 & over by April 19th.
Per NPR, as of April 13th, 74 million people have gotten fully vaccinated in the United States. Over 3 million per day are getting vaccinated.
We want to hear from our classmates in order to make the most prudent decision in time to make arrangements with the facility and give attendees time to plan and budget for travel.
